Meet our founder -
Raised in the small community of Montrose, MN, the importance of honesty, integrity and quality craftsmanship was forever instilled in Niles Hickman. Upon graduation from Buffalo High School his journey led him to college where he aspired to be a medical doctor. With only a semester under his belt he could not shake the feeling that something was out of sort - this was not his calling. Leaving school he felt defeated. What would become of this 19 year old young man?
A couple weeks passed and he paid his grandmother a visit. Through conversation she suggested that he investigate the military. Most young men went into the military to get some life experiences, learn a viable trade and put 'a couple cents' in their pockets before settling down. Three weeks later Niles arrived at the United States Air Force Basic Training Facility in San Antonio, Texas. He'd spend the next four years traveling the world performing his duties as a member of the Aircrew aboard an RC-135 aircraft.
Upon the completion of his four year commitment to the USAF Niles returned home where he wed his high school sweetheart, Jacie. With six weeks of study remaining on his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Saint Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Niles and Jacie were blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Sydney. At this same time Niles secured a permanent position with Graco, Inc., a world leader in equipment manufacturing. Through his exposure to the spray foam industry as an R&D Engineer, Niles took the initiative to invest in numerous training and certification courses which prepared him to establish NHI, Inc. in 2018.
As the world evolves, so has NHI's services offered, employees and family. Expanding into soil stabilization and slab lifting, NHI continues to grow and provide additional solutions to our customers. Niles & Jacie were blessed with another happy, healthy baby girl, Grace and look forward to the future ahead.
